The creative camp and art exhibition were ways to commemorate Dan Daniel, father, Mircea Dan (1 Jul)

Saturday, July 1st, was a special day for sculptor Dr. Daniel Dan and his family as it marked six months since the passing of his father, the artist Mircea Dan (1957-2023). On this occasion, Dr. Daniel Dan, together with friends and colleagues, organized a series of commemorative events to honor the memory of the late artist.

From June 23rd to July 1st, sculptor Daniel Dan, renowned for his Ph.D. in visual arts with a focus on "Sculpture in Marble," passionately organized a plastic arts creation camp called "Constellation of Circles" in Roșia, his mother's hometown. This sculpture camp brought together multiple artists, and the contemporary art exhibition titled "Love Calls Love - Dan Mircea and His Friends" was hosted by the Beiuș Municipal Museum.

The exhibition featured around 40 works of sculpture, painting, and graphics, created not only by the late Mircea Dan and his son Daniel but also by their friends and colleagues in the artistic field. Talented artists from various regions of the country contributed to this exceptional exhibition, paying a special tribute to artist Mircea Dan and their unique artistic expressions. At the exhibition's vernissage, museum curator Cristian-Remus Țoța highlighted the artistic quality of Mircea Dan's creations, emphasizing his exceptional talent in working with materials such as river stone, granite, and marble from the local area.

For Daniel Dan, the creative camp and art exhibition were ways to commemorate his father and pay a final tribute to him through art. His father had been an inspiration and guiding light in his artistic journey. Now, in the beautiful and serene atmosphere of Rosia, Dr. Daniel Dan creates impressive sculptures, proudly expressing his own artistic vision. We conclude with his words: "I am what I do, not what I say," a motto he applies in his artistic life, showing us that true artistic expression lies in the works he creates with passion and skill.

(English)

In his atelier, Dan Daniel, a sculptor with grace,

With marble and thoughts, mastery he does embrace,

Since childhood, through his father, love's art he did chase,

Carving in stone, creating masterpieces, his creative space.

In Beiuș, at the start, sculpting for neighbors' delight,

Then with passion, he learned the secrets of art so bright,

In Timișoara, at the faculty, his path took flight,

His Ph.D. in sculpture, a source of knowledge, pure light.

In Spain, two years, experience and inspiration grew,

Back in his beloved village, Roșia, his roots he drew,

Amongst forests and valleys, hands skillful and true,

His sculptures come to life, in marble, art anew.

A temple of parallel worlds takes form and glee,

His perfect concept, a captivating journey to see,

From tiny cells to blooming galaxies, a sight to be,

The universe embodied in art of eternal decree.

In the museum of Beiuș, with emotion and reverence,

With friends and colleagues, sharing creative brilliance,

Love and memories, a thrill in our hearts, so intense,

For his father, for Mircea Dan, an artist of magnificence.

În atelierul său, Dan Daniel, sculptor cu har,

Cu marmură și cu gânduri măiestrie adună,

Din copilărie, prin tatăl său, iubirea a învățat,

Să dăltuiască în piatră, să-și creeze opera profundă.

În Beiuș, la început, sculpta pentru vecini,

Apoi învăță cu pasiune tainele artei frumoase,

La Timișoara, la facultate, drumul s-a deschis,

Doctoratul său în sculptură, izvor de cunoaștere și voie bună.

În Spania, doi ani, experiență și inspirație adunate,

Înapoi în satul drag, Roșia, își regăsește rădăcinile și mândrie,

Printre păduri și văi, cu mâini dibace și inspirate,

Sculpturile sale prind viață, în marmură, în armonie.

Un temple al lumilor paralele ia naștere,

Conceptul său desăvârșit, o fascinanta călătorie,

De la celule mici până la galaxii înfloritoare,

Universul întruchipat în opere de artă cu veșnică valoare.

În muzeul din Beiuș, expoziție cu emoție și evlavie,

Cu prieteni și colegi, împărtășind creativitatea vieții lor,

Iubirea și amintirea, ca un fior în inimă, rămân vie,

Pentru tatăl său, pentru Mircea Dan, artist desăvârșit și îndrăgit de-alor.

Prin sculpturile sale, Dan Daniel ne încântă și ne cuceresc,
